Crisp air, peak foliage, mountain views, cozy mornings, and time with the people who matter most. This was the heart of Taylor and Ethan’s fall elopement in New Hampshire. Fall is my personal favorite season for elopements. The weather is just right, the colors are unreal, and there is an undeniable magic in the air. Taylor and Ethan chose early October for their two day elopement, and it could not have been more perfect.
Their celebration was thoughtfully paced and deeply intentional, blending quiet sunrise moments with loved ones, meaningful activities that reflected who they are, and plenty of space to simply be present.
Planning Their Fall Elopement Elopement
From the start, T + E knew they wanted their elopement to feel unrushed and personal. They wanted time alone, time in the mountains, and time with friends and family. Instead of squeezing everything into one day, they chose a two day experience that allowed each part of their celebration to have its own space.
We planned a sunrise ceremony just for the two of them, followed by time with loved ones later that day. Day two would be all about relaxed celebration, candids, and connection.
Day One: Sunrise Vows in the White Mountains

We began the weekend with a sunrise hike with just Taylor and Ethan, their officiant, and me. The hike itself was fairly easy and took about twenty minutes to reach the summit.
At the top, we were greeted with a clear, unobstructed 360 degree view of the White Mountains and as far south as the Lakes Region, just moments before sunrise. While Ethan and the officiant went ahead to find their mark, Taylor and I stayed back so she could change into her drop dead gorgeous dress and do a few final touch ups.
Once she was ready, we all got into position and began their ceremony. T + E were married just as the sun peaked over the horizon, bathing the mountaintop in the most buttery, warm light. Sunrise ceremonies are incredibly special, and the light they offer is unmatched. Watching them exchange vows in that moment was pure magic.
After their I dos, we moved into a portrait session and captured some truly epic first photos as a married couple. Between the light, the views, and the emotion, these images left us all speachless.
A Meaningful Descent and Celebrating What Makes Them Them
On our way back down the mountain, we paused halfway for a quick 420 session. One thing I always tell my couples is to choose activities that are meaningful to them and that they genuinely enjoy doing together. These moments are what make each elopement unique and memorable. While they lit up, I documented their interactions before we continued our descent.

After the hike, T + E headed back to their Airbnb to meet up with loved ones for breakfast. Later, we gathered at a second location for family and friend photos, along with a few more couple’s portraits. This spot did not require any hiking, making it perfect for a larger group and guests with accessibility needs, while still delivering beautiful fall scenery.
That evening, we wrapped up day one with dinner at the Red Fox Bar and Grille. More loved ones joined for a relaxed reception style dinner, giving T + E the chance to celebrate their marriage with everyone closest to them in a laid back, joyful setting.
Day Two: A Laid Back Microwedding Celebration

Day two brought us to Tuckerman’s Brewery in North Conway. T + E had a tent set up with food and drinks, and even more friends and family joined in for the second day of celebrating. The vibe was relaxed, easygoing, and full of laughter.
Tuckerman’s is one of my favorite breweries in the North Conway area. The atmosphere is welcoming, the staff is incredibly friendly and professional, and the drinks always hit just right. While we took a few couple portraits, most of the day was focused on candid moments, heartfelt conversations, and capturing meaningful interactions, especially during speeches.
A Fall Elopement Weekend to Remember
This two day fall micro-wedding was truly one for the books. From the quiet sunrise vows to the relaxed brewery celebration, every part of Taylor and Ethan’s elopement felt intentional and true to who they are. It was such an honor to document their story, and I hope T + E carry this same love, laughter, and connection into every chapter ahead.

Planning Your Own New Hampshire Elopement
Timing is everything for a New England elopement. Here are a few key things to know based on Taylor and Ethan’s two day fall elopement.
- When it was: early October brought warm days with cooler mornings and evenings, no snow, and stunning fall foliage throughout the White Mountains. This is typically peak fall season in New Hampshire, so if you are dreaming of vibrant colors and classic fall scenery, late September through early October is an ideal window.
- Length of elopement: their two day timeline allowed for the perfect balance of adventure and intimacy. Instead of cramming everything into one day, they had time for a private just us ceremony, meaningful portraits, and relaxed celebrations with friends and family in several casual settings.
- Weather: New England weather can be unpredictable, especially in the mountains. I always recommend having a flexible plan, whether that means a backup location or extra wiggle room in your timeline. And honestly, a little imperfect weather often ends up making the day even more memorable in the best way!
